About The Position

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires the ability to stand for the majority of the workday.

Schedule: Thursday and Friday, 0800–2000; Friday and Saturday, 0700–1500. Pay is up to USD $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A 5–7 year U.S. work history may be required.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; and obtain signatures.
• Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
