About The Position

Security Management is seeking a Professional Security Officer to help protect the people and property at assigned facilities. Security Management partners with clients and aims to provide a high level of client satisfaction, with officers playing a key role in that effort. Officers serve as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions, and detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts. The position is full-time on the 1st shift and reports to the Area Manager.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• If a former member of the military, must have an Honorable DD 214.
• Must pass a criminal record background check.
• Must pass a 13-panel drug test.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and provide a current 3-year driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand unassisted and walk continuously for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand or walk for multiple hours, potentially an entire shift, on various surfaces.
• Must occasionally climb stairs, bend or twist at the waist, knees, or neck, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to run as needed.
• Must be able to use both hands and arms constantly for radio and phone use, computer work, report writing, and other administrative tasks.
• Must have the visual ability to read, view security monitors, and observe and interact with people.
• Must be able to work in and adapt to varied environments, including changing outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat.
• Strong attention to detail is required while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
• Answer questions and assist guests and employees.
• Answer phones or greet guests and employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
• Deter crime and client rule infractions, and detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts.
