CA - Unarmed Security Officer - Chain Restaurant (DTLA)
About The Position
Treston Security Services is seeking confident, highly skilled Unarmed Security Officers to represent our team at a busy chain restaurant location in Los Angeles. This is not a passive post — we need someone who thrives in fast-paced, people-heavy environments and is exceptionally skilled at de-escalation and conflict resolution. You will be the first line of response when situations arise, and your ability to handle them calmly, professionally, and effectively is critical to the success of this assignment. Please note: Parking is not provided at this location.
Requirements
- Valid California Guard Card
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Willingness to complete pre-employment drug screening and background investigation
- Elite de-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong situational awareness and ability to anticipate problems before they escalate
- Composed, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure
- Excellent verbal communication — able to engage respectfully with a diverse, high-volume guest base
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Collaborative with law enforcement and restaurant management
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED
- Powers to Arrest & Appropriate Use of Force Certification
- Minimum 1 year of security experience, preferably in a restaurant, nightlife, or high-volume retail setting
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Demonstrated experience with conflict de-escalation in public-facing environments
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the restaurant and surrounding exterior to deter incidents before they occur.
- Proactively identify, assess, and de-escalate conflicts involving guests, staff, or third parties — your ability to resolve situations verbally and calmly is the top priority at this location.
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior premises, monitoring for safety risks, suspicious behavior, or policy violations.
- Professionally address and remove trespassers while prioritizing the safety of guests and staff at all times.
- Monitor surveillance systems and report any security concerns or incidents with thorough, accurate documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with local law enforcement when situations require additional support.
- Serve as a positive, approachable presence for guests and staff — outstanding customer service is expected at all times.
- Adhere to all Treston Security Services protocols, post orders, and applicable California security regulations.
