As a Security Officer Unarmed Day Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support people with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a government education location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student and visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting notable activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, playgrounds, and perimeter locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, check identification as required, and guide students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with location policies.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence and communicating with school personnel and local responders when needed.
