About The Position

Ameritex Guard Services is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a guard shack assignment. The position is listed as Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with work at one location and no remote work. The posting also lists a 12-hour shift, day, night, and overnight shifts, and weekend availability. Pay is $16.00. The officer will patrol and monitor premises, respond to incidents, assist people, and submit reports while providing customer service. The role requires a Texas Level II Guard License, reliable transportation, and the ability to stand for 7–8 hours and work indoors or outdoors as needed.

Requirements

Desire to learn and provide excellent customer service to clients.
Clean background with no felonies; must be able to obtain a security license through Texas D.P.S.
Reliable transportation and an own vehicle.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to write legible reports.
Reliability, punctuality, and high integrity.
Two valid forms of identification, such as a driver’s license or state ID and a Social Security card or birth certificate.
Must have a Level II Guard License.
Must be able to start immediately.
Neat, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Ability to stand for 7–8 hours.
Ability to handle assigned daily tasks and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Must arrive at the interview in business casual attire.
High school or equivalent education required.
One year of customer service experience required.
Ability to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous security officer experience, or military or law enforcement background.
One year of security experience preferred.
Guard Card preferred.
Day, night, and overnight shift availability preferred.

Responsibilities

Patrol the premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
Secure exits, doors, and windows after operations end.
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
Provide assistance to people in need.
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
