About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at an aerospace and defense location in East Saint Louis, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and documenting activity. The role includes serving employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and representing Allied Universal with integrity and teamwork. The position pays $20.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
