About The Position

Security Management is currently seeking an Unarmed Security Officer located in the Savannah, GA area. This is primarily a PART TIME position in the evenings. The qualified Security Officer will have experience in customer service and ideally in the security industry. A qualified candidate must be able to perform various tasks including effective communication with guests, residents, and team members, preparing written reports and daily logs using a computer, utilizing advanced technology, providing exceptional customer service, understanding and following operating procedures, maintaining a professional manner and appearance, making good judgment decisions, demonstrating strong attention to detail for safety, handling sensitive material confidentially, and de-escalating situations. The position also requires specific physical and mental functions such as constant standing or walking, occasional stair climbing, bending/twisting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, running as needed, constant use of hands/arms for tasks like using a radio/phone and computer, constant use of eyes for observation, and adapting to various outdoor conditions.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Speak fluent English
  • At least 21 years of age
  • At least a High School Diploma or GED
  • If Military: your DD 214 must be Honorable only
  • Able to pass a Criminal Record Background Check
  • Able to pass a 13-panel Drug Test
  • Possess a valid Driver's License
  • Provide a current 3-year Driving Record
  • Have Reliable Transportation
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to stand or walk constantly (for multiple hours, up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet, grass, dirt)
  • Ability to climb stairs occasionally during shift
  • Ability to occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, run as needed
  • Constant use of both hands and arms while using radio/phone, computer, writing reports, and other administrative tasks
  • Constant use of eyes to read, view security monitors, and observe/interact with people
  • Ability to work in and adapt to various environments including changing outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat
  • Strong attention to detail required while on duty
