Unarmed Security Flex Officer
About The Position
Marksman Security is hiring an Unarmed Security Flex Officer for a high-volume distribution and warehouse facility in Hazelton Mills, Pennsylvania. The officer will help protect people, property, and assets through patrols, access control, security checks, dock monitoring, and related site operations. The position requires professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic. The hourly starting pay is $19.00. This is a flex-schedule position. Shifts are scheduled according to the employee’s availability and business needs, with availability required Sunday through Friday. Weekly hours vary. In-person interviews are held on-site in Hazleton.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of security experience.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
- Must provide availability and work scheduled shifts based on business needs.

- Previous experience in both security and customer service fields.
Responsibilities
- Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to detect suspicious behavior and help prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity.
- Greet truck drivers and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control access to the property at the gatehouse.
- Greet guests at the front desk, provide customer service, control access, monitor CCTV systems, announce visitors, and distribute packages.
- Perform access control and security checks according to site procedures.
- Monitor shipping areas, open and close dock doors, log inbound and outbound trucks, and help prevent theft during loading and peak-season projects.
- Assist with inbound truck processing, maintain accurate logs, send and receive emails, and monitor open dock doors.
- Report security concerns to a supervisor.
- Use site computer systems to monitor activity and maintain accurate records according to site procedures.
