About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role offers hands-on experience at varied sites and the opportunity to build security experience and pursue advancement within Allied Universal.

The position works 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and include manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The Security Officer Flex Unarmed position is based in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Ability to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
