Unarmed Security Escort (Silverdale)
About The Position
Oatridge Security Group (OSG) is hiring an Unarmed Security Escort to accompany contractors and other personnel into restricted areas, remain with them while they perform required duties, and escort them safely out. The role is not a law enforcement position and carries no arrest or apprehension powers. An active security clearance is required, and candidates must pass an extensive background check and drug test. The work takes place both indoors and outdoors within restricted areas and requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, including working outside in the elements. Escorts are expected to demonstrate self-discipline, de-escalation skills, a strong work ethic, punctuality, dependability, and professionalism. The position is located in Silverdale/Kitsap County, with varied scheduling options. The posting lists full-time, part-time, and on-call employment. OSG provides security services to commercial and U.S. government clients throughout Washington and Oregon and reports more than 20 years of experience. Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess an active security clearance.
- Pass an extensive background check and drug test.
- Successfully complete all training and obtain all required permits, licenses, certifications, and site security clearances.
- Speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Follow written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in telephone and face-to-face conversations, with excellent written and spoken command of English.
- Be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods and work outdoors in the elements.
- Demonstrate self-discipline, de-escalation skills, a good work ethic, punctuality, dependability, and the ability to work as a team player.
Nice To Haves
- Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience.
- An active Tier 3 Security or Top Secret clearance.
- An active Tier 4 BI clearance.
- An active Tier 5 Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Accompany personnel to designated areas, remain with them, ensure required duties are performed, and escort them out of a secured facility.
- Follow company personnel and safety policies and perform assigned duties safely.
- Arrive at the designated time in proper uniform and with necessary issued equipment.
- Carry out general and special orders for assigned posts.
- Communicate by radio, telephone, and in person according to orders.
- Maintain the cleanliness of uniforms and assigned equipment.
- Professionally escort and interact with public and government personnel.
- Meet, greet, and interact professionally with employees, VIPs, and the general public.
- Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
- Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
