About The Position

Humana Healthy Horizons in Kentucky is looking for a UM Administration Coordinator 2 who will contribute to the administration of utilization management. The UM Administration Coordinator 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. They perform computations and typically works on semi-routine assignments. The UM Administration Coordinator 2 provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best treatment, care or services for members. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works. Follow standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation. Use your skills to make an impact.

Requirements

  • Must reside in the state of Kentucky or a county that is contiguous to Kentucky state border in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia.
  • One (1) or more years administrative or technical support experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient using electronic medical record and documentation programs.
  • Proficient experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field.
  • Prior member service or customer service telephone experience.
  • Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization.
