About The Position
Join the Radiology team at NewYork-Presbyterian / Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where the focus is on providing high-quality, compassionate patient care. The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations, welcomes patients, visitors, and staff, and assists with exams as needed. The technologist assesses patient condition, selects the appropriate transducer, adjusts equipment to meet diagnostic testing needs, and ensures adherence to safety standards. The role supports effective operations and patient care services in key departments. This is a full-time overnight position providing general ultrasound services at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Demonstrated patient-care experience with training in ultrasound.
- For work in the Diagnostic Imaging Center: at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience after training in General Sonography, including abdominal, pelvic, and small-part exams, and Doppler interrogation experience involving the upper abdomen and female and male reproductive systems.
Responsibilities
