Ultrasound Technologist - General Ultrasound - Part Time Weekends
About The Position
Join the Radiology team at NewYork-Presbyterian / Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations, welcomes patients, visitors, and staff, and assists with exams as needed. The role includes assessing patient condition, selecting the appropriate transducer, adjusting equipment for diagnostic testing, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The position provides General ultrasound services and supports effective department operations and patient care. This part-time position is located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Demonstrated patient-care experience with training in ultrasound.
- For work in the Diagnostic Imaging Center: at least 3 years of direct post-training ultrasound experience in General Sonography, including abdominal, pelvic, and small-part examinations, and Doppler interrogation experience, including upper abdomen and female and male reproductive systems.
