About The Position

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations involving OB/GYN, abdominal, and small-parts imaging. Assists the radiologist during invasive procedures. Makes clinical judgments about patients’ conditions based on information from referring physicians, medical records, patient interviews, and personal assessments. The position is with Swedish Ballard and supports Providence Swedish’s patient-focused, whole-person care approach.

Requirements

• Successfully complete an ultrasound training program.
• Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) registry examination.
• Obtain national certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within one year of hire.
• Hold National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Have one year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern.
