About The Position
The Ultrasound Technician Sonographer performs patient care within the scope of the role and helps maintain efficient office operations. The position processes paperwork and electronic forms, maintains ongoing records, and performs examinations according to policy while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and protection. The technologist assists the attending physician with charting and reports, communicates effectively, works efficiently, and maintains a clean and safe environment through proper equipment use and care. The role also requires staying current in the profession through continuing education and demonstrating a caring attitude toward patients, visitors, and employees.
Requirements
- Must be A.R.D.M.S. registered or registry eligible.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- A.R.D.M.S. registered.
- Should have CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care within the scope of the Ultrasound Technician Sonographer role.
- Maintain efficient office operations by performing a broad range of duties.
- Receive and process necessary paperwork and electronic forms.
- Maintain ongoing records.
- Perform examinations according to policy while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and protection.
- Assist the attending physician with charting and reports.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately, and work efficiently and productively.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through proper use and care of equipment.
- Stay abreast of changes in the profession through continuing education programs.
- Demonstrate a caring attitude toward patients, visitors, and employees.
