About The Position

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, image quality, and compliance with departmental protocols. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program.
  • ARDMS Certification in at least one specialty – Required
  • Current BLS Certification – Required
  • Experience performing general ultrasound examinations.
  • Ability to operate Philips ultrasound systems required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with abdominal, pelvic, small-parts, vascular, and OB/GYN imaging preferred.
  • ARRT (R)
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Conduct general ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, small-parts, vascular, and OB/GYN imaging studies.
  • Produce accurate diagnostic images and documentation for radiologist interpretation.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout all imaging procedures.
  • Review patient histories and verify examination requests to ensure appropriate imaging studies are performed.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within EMR and imaging systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed.
  • Follow all departmental, regulatory, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
