About The Position

Unio Health Partners (UHP) is a physician practice management platform aiming to transform care delivery in the Western United States. UHP collaborates with leading physician practices to foster a quality-oriented clinical culture and enable best practice sharing. Affiliated practices benefit from a comprehensive suite of services, including three sub-specialties (urology, gastroenterology, and radiation oncology) and ancillary services like pathology, in-office dispensing, and chronic care management. UHP is led by an accomplished management team and provides full management services to its affiliated practices. Currently, UHP is affiliated with 154 providers (110 physicians and 44 advanced practice providers) across 50 locations in California. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and interpret urological ultrasounds across the San Francisco division's offices. This is a traveling position. Bilingual proficiency in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience, urology experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines.
  • ARDMS AB certification is Required.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed.
  • Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English, Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images for various urologic ultrasound exams which include abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS ultrasounds.
  • Evaluate ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes given the procedure plan as well as whether appropriate test guidelines and protocols were followed.
  • Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings.
  • Helping patients prepare for the procedure by explaining the process, helping them to move to the table, and preparing the skin surface by applying gel before using the equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the patient and maintain his/her comfort level during the examination.
