Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
  • RDMS (OBGYN) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
  • Reliable transportation to travel to NYI locations as needed
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and sit for prolonged periods

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors/Associates Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow all OBGYN radiology policies and protocols to ensure safe, high-quality imaging and patient care.
  • Maintain a sanitary, organized, and safe environment aligned with infection control and women’s health standards.
  • Independently perform a full range of OB and GYN ultrasound exams, including transvaginal and fetal assessments.
  • Perform and document routine maintenance and checks to ensure reliable and accurate ultrasound function.
  • Apply and follow established OBGYN-specific lab and imaging protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed and clear preliminary impressions to support provider diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Relay imaging results and observations promptly to OBGYN providers and collaborating radiologists.
  • Expedite emergent OB exams for conditions such as pregnancy complications or abnormal findings.
  • Support physicians during outpatient procedures like sonohysterograms, biopsies, and follicular scans.
  • Exhibit strong communication and time management skills to maintain workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Operate EMRs and imaging software effectively for scheduling, documentation, and follow-up coordination.
