About The Position
US Heart and Vascular is seeking a PRN Dual Sonographer to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Rainbow City, AL. This role involves performing routine and complex echocardiography and vascular duplex ultrasound examinations, including preliminary interpretation of studies. Examinations may include stress and contrast echocardiograms, peripheral venous and arterial exams, and visceral or renal vascular exams. The technician will also explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent. Availability to work on Fridays is required.
Requirements
- Currently registered as a Cardiovascular Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI.
- Minimum one year experience with echocardiography, vascular ultrasound.
- Credentialed in Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) and Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS).
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and complex echocardiography and vascular duplex ultrasound examinations.
- Performs and provides preliminary interpretation of studies performed.
- Examines may include, but are not limited to, stress and contrast echocardiograms, peripheral venous and arterial exams, visceral vascular and/or renal vascular exams.
- Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patients.
- Availability to work on Fridays.
