About The Position

As an Ultrasound Technician, PRN joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This role involves inpatient, outpatient, and emergency procedures, including Ultrasound guidance biopsies of the breast and thyroid, paracentesis, thoracentesis/gynecological procedures and vascular ultrasound.

Requirements

Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology.
Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification.
BLS within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

Positions, transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required.
Performs diagnostic abdominal and pelvic ultrasound studies.
Performs diagnostic vascular (carotid and extremity venous) ultrasound studies.
Performs diagnostic obstetric ultrasound studies.
Maintains records and statistics of ultrasound studies.
Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific needs to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).
Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions.
Assists physician during invasive ultrasonographic procedures.
Participates in peer competencies.
Provides On Call coverage as needed.
