About The Position

This position operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. The Ultrasound Tech provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment, demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology, and provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Effective communication with staff and radiologists is essential.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology in Radiology (R) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT(S).
• Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
• BLS certified.
