About The Position

Cardiac Sonographers work with doctors to assess a patient's heart condition through the detailed images taken during an echocardiogram. Vascular Technologists assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of disorders affecting the vascular system. The RSDS/ RVT should know how to respond appropriately in emergencies.

Requirements

Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Technology program that is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CMHEP) is required.
Associate degree in Science or Equivalent
Experience in Echocardiography or Vascular preferred
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) if not currently registered in echocardiography must obtain RDCS or RCS within 1 year
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), optional
Compliance with Continuing Education Requirements
BLS
