Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type PRN Cost Center CC001307 FLO - Ultrasound (FMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-01 Scheduled Weekly Hours 8 Work Shift Job Description Ultrasound Student Technologist will aid with imaging exams. Will assist with ultrasound procedures at the entry level requiring knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology. Should be actively enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program. Minimum Training and Education: Current Basic Life Support (BLS). SCRQSA Certification required. Should be actively enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Basic Life Support required upon hire. Thereafter, must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Ultrasound Student Technologist transition to Ultrasound Technologist I Upon completion of the certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), a promotion will be awarded from a student tech position to a vacant ultrasound technologist position. The promotion wage increase will be based on passing the ultrasound tech registry. Benefits and sign on bonus will also be awarded if eligible based on position.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program.
