About The Position

Performs basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians and documents findings. Assists physicians with invasive procedures as needed. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. The position is based at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and is part time, with variable shifts and four scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field.
• One of the listed ultrasound credentials is required, with the specified specialty, site, and timing conditions: ARRT Sonographer (S) upon hire; ARDMS Abdomen (AB), excluding specified SHMG roles; ARDMS Ob/Gyn (OB), excluding specified SHMG and SHGR roles; ARDMS Vascular Technologist (VT) or ARRT Vascular Sonographer (VS), with the stated site exclusions and one year required; or ARRT Breast Sonographer (BS) or ARDMS Breast (BR), with the stated site-specific completion timelines and one year required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
