About The Position

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, with over 40 types of primary care and specialty practices. In this OBGYN outpatient clinic role, the Ultrasonographer performs basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a physician and documents findings. The role also assists physicians with invasive procedures as needed, provides appropriate patient care, and recognizes patient conditions essential to successful completion of procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Two years of relevant ultrasound experience.
• Upon hire, required: CRT-Sonographer (S) certification from ARRT, or CRT-Abdomen (AB) certification from ARDMS, excluding vascular sites, and CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) certification from ARDMS, excluding vascular sites.
• Upon hire, required: CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) certification from ARDMS for vascular sites, or AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a physician.
• Document examination findings.
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures as needed.
• Provide appropriate patient care.
• Recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure.
