About The Position

The Ultrasonographer I functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Ultrasonographer I role and responsibilities include providing diagnostic medical sonography services and its various clinical specialties. The Ultrasonographer I activities are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED
Completion of college or hospital based Vascular or Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or completion of Allied Health Program approved by the AMA.
Under 5 years’ experience in at least a single RDMS subspecialty (ABD, OB/GYN etc.)
Registered or registry eligible. Registry should be acquired within 6 months from hire date of minimum of Physics registry passed and a specialty registry by 1 year of hire date
Must be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
Must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

Perform basic ultrasound exams and procedures.
Perform limited vascular exams.
Provide diagnostic medical sonography services and its various clinical specialties.
Activities performed consistent with education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.
