About The Position

This is an unpaid pro-bono position. JerseySTEM provides free after school STEM classes to underserved middle school girls grade 5-8. Funding for these classes and other programs is largely derived from donations from Corporate sponsors. We are seeking a Technical Lead to ,over time, take ownership of our UIBakery platform. • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
  • Practical experience interacting with and debugging RESTful APIs (Postman experience is a plus).
  • Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
  • A passion for teaching and the patience to guide interns who may be new to professional development environments.
  • While you are a "pro-coder," you should have a genuine interest in how Low-Code/No-Code platforms like UIBakery or Retool can accelerate organizational impact.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical owner for the JerseySTEM UIBakery environment.
  • Organize the Training, and onboard of Junior Developers (interns, others), and provide "Tier 2" support to junior developers building apps on the platform. You are the person they turn to when they are stuck on logic or integrations.

  • Oversee the connection between UIBakery and our core data systems (including Google Workspace, Salesforce , Jira, MySQL via REST APIs).
  • Review custom JavaScript snippets and SQL queries written by interns within the platform to ensure performance and security.
  • Lead weekly virtual review (a week day between 3pm-6pm, for example: Fridays 3pm-4pm)
