About The Position

This role focuses on analyzing, extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) healthcare data from various EMR systems into Epic. The developer will collaborate with multiple teams to understand data requirements and develop conversion processes. Key activities include data validation, documentation, supporting go-live, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare data conversion or integration.
• Hands-on experience with Epic data structures and tools (Identity, Chronicles, Clarity, Caboodle, Bridges, or Data Courier).
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, CCD, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, extract, transform, and load (ETL) healthcare data from various EMR systems (e.g., Allscripts, Cerner, Meditech) into Epic.
• Collaborate with clinical, technical, and vendor teams to understand data structures, workflows, and mapping requirements.
• Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and processes for data conversion using Epic's Data Courier, Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle environments.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
• Document conversion logic, data dictionaries, and transformation rules.
• Support go-live activities, including mock conversions, cutover planning, and post-migration troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other data privacy and security regulations.
