About The Position

The Data Conversion Specialist will be responsible for analyzing and mapping data from old systems to new ones, developing and implementing data conversion plans, and designing and executing data validation and testing processes. This role ensures data quality and integrity throughout the conversion process. The specialist will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments to define and prioritize data conversion requirements. Additionally, they will research new data conversion technologies and trends, mentor team members on best practices, and communicate project progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Ten (10)+ years of expertise and/or relevant experience in Data analysis, mapping, and migration between legacy and modern systems
• Developing and implementing comprehensive data conversion plans
• Designing and executing data validation and testing processes
• Ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout conversion projects
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional departments to define and prioritize data conversion requirements

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with LADOTD data or other similar state applications
• Experience with data conversion tools, ETL platforms, and scripting languages.
