About The Position

Bethany Christian Services is a faith-based organization focused on child welfare, including foster care and adoption. As a UC Case Aide, you will support unaccompanied children seeking family reunification, older youth transitioning to adulthood in a new country, and foster families. This role involves providing direct support and transportation to clients, ensuring their well-being and facilitating their integration into new environments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of trauma and willing to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to provide language interpretation services
  • Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
  • Exhibit integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care
  • Possess the relevant experience and/or qualifications to work with these clients and clients with special needs
  • Be properly trained and licensed, as necessary
  • Must be able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route (TDap or Td)
  • Results of medical examination (as required by State Licensing, including results of TB tests and immunization records)
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity

Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation to clients for medical appointments, legal appointments, hearings, and other social agencies.
  • Effectively report the behavior of children during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team.
  • Provide assistance with intake and discharge related transportation, including travel for reunification with a sponsor.
  • Assist the medical team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Provide language interpretation to clients for appointments in the community.
  • Provide supervision of youth in the classroom, when needed.
  • Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times.
  • Maintain an adequate knowledge of trauma and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
