The U19 Project Coordinator supports the NIH/National Institute on Aging U19 program “Causes, Consequences, and Modifiers of Heterogeneity in Aging in a Naturalistic Nonhuman Primate Model” (U19AG092410), a multi-investigator program led by Arizona State University. The program brings together investigators from universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom to study aging in the free-ranging rhesus macaque population of Cayo Santiago, in partnership with the Caribbean Primate Research Center (CPRC) of the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. Under the supervision of the Scientific Research Institute Director, the coordinator organizes and supports the consortium’s on-site research activities in Puerto Rico. The role facilitates communication among the Multiple Principal Investigators, participating universities and research teams, the CPRC as host site, and the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust. It coordinates research schedules, meetings, milestones, deliverables, visiting-team logistics, sampling activities, and the on-site provision of supplies and equipment. The role also maintains coordination records and compiles information for program reporting and presentations. Research data are managed through CayoHub (Core D). The position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with occasional travel to CPRC facilities in Toa Baja and Humacao, including Cayo Santiago. It is a full-time, grant-funded fixed-term contract through June 2027. Continued employment depends on federal funding availability, the subaward terms, and satisfactory performance. The employee must comply with PRSTRT policies and procedures and CPRC occupational health and safety requirements. Duties may change to meet organizational needs.
