About The Position

This is a permanent, unionized position for a U/G Production Miner (Long Hole Driller) in Nunavik. The role involves drilling work in underground production sites and requires adherence to strict safety standards. The normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks worked followed by 3 weeks for rest, totaling 77 hours per week during the work period.

Requirements

• DEP in Drilling or experience in a similar position
• Experience on Sandvik drills
• Knowledge of the safe operation of drills
• Valid general explosives permit
• Valid driver's license (class 5) is essential
• Possess FMTM mining modules 1 to 5 and 7
• Good physical condition

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks according to safety standards in force (Work methods, AST in place and health and safety)
• Execute drilling work in the work sites
• Ensure the inspection of equipment before and after shift
• As needed, perform any other tasks requested by supervisor
