About The Position

The Driller is responsible for operating a down-the-hole hammer drill and assisting with blasting loading operations. This role also involves operating various machinery such as a Bobcat, small loader, and dump trucks (CAT 775 - 60t). The driller must adhere to safety standards, perform equipment inspections, and undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Diploma of professional studies in drilling and blasting.
Minimum of 2 years experience as a driller.
Experience operating down the hole (DTH) drills.
Hold an explosive permit.
Know the safe operation of drills.
Have an acceptable level of experience on the operation of heavy equipment.

Nice To Haves

Certification cards.
Experience as a blaster helper.
Hold a valid driving license, class 1.
Bilingualism (French/English).

Responsibilities

Operate a down-the-hole hammer drill.
Assist with blasting loading operations.
Operate various machinery such as a Bobcat and/or small loader and dump trucks (CAT 775 - 60t).
Carry out tasks in accordance with current safety standards (work methods, existing work instructions, road safety, and health and safety).
Perform the inspection of the equipment before and after his shift.
Perform all other tasks requested by the supervisor.
