About The Position

This is a permanent position for an Underground Miner – Construction. The role requires efficiency, safety, and autonomy, following daily planning established by a supervisor. The work location is in Nunavik with a rotation schedule of 6 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. The position is open to one candidate.

Requirements

• DEC in Mining Technology, Geology option, or equivalent.
• Good computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
• Possess a valid general explosive permit.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Completion of Mining Training Modules (F.M.T.M.).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the underground mining sector.
• Bilingualism (French/English).
• Knowledge of lithologies.

Responsibilities

• Following the daily planning established by your supervisor.
• Inspecting your work equipment (boom trucks) before and after your shift.
• Operating a backhoe-loader.
• Operating a boom truck.
• Constructing permanent and temporary infrastructures.
• Participating in site preparation.
• Performing minor gallery rehabilitation work.
• Any other related tasks requested by your supervisor.
