U-Box Warehouse Worker
About The Position
U-Box Warehouse Workers help ensure customer needs and expectations are met by providing friendly, courteous service. They handle storage containers and deliveries, assist customers, complete inspections and documentation, and help maintain a clean, dry, and secure warehouse. Training is provided for forklift operation, and workers participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. The position is located at 890 E 59th St, Los Angeles, California 90001. Compensation is $18.42 to $20.00 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in the states listed in the posting; California is not among those states.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal vehicular regulations while driving.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Operate an 8,000-pound propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift; training is provided.
- Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
- Ensure timely delivery.
- Assist customers, including selling support items and using online dispatch and rental systems.
- Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers before dispatch and upon return.
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for delivery or pickup of goods.
- Keep the warehouse storage facility clean, dry, and secure.
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
