About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a U-Box Warehouse Worker at its Port Charlotte, Florida location. The role provides friendly and courteous customer service while helping ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met. The worker handles U-Box containers and deliveries, assists customers with support-item sales and rental systems, completes inspections and documentation, and maintains a clean, dry, and secure storage facility. Training is provided for forklift operation. The position includes ongoing education through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
Adhere to local, state, and federal vehicular regulations while driving.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
U-Haul will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Florida.

Responsibilities

Operate an 8,000-pound propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift; training is provided.
Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
Ensure timely delivery.
Assist customers, including selling support items and using online dispatch and rental systems.
Inspect U-Box containers for customer readiness before dispatch and upon return.
Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for deliveries or pickups.
Keep the warehouse storage facility clean, dry, and secure.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
