TV Features Journalist
About The Position
CBR is seeking an experienced, passionate contributor to create original, high-quality entertainment content in a timely manner. The TV Features Journalist will write articles in CBR’s house style after completing the requisite training, covering classic television shows and upcoming shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. The work includes fact-checking, formatting, linking, and sourcing and performing basic edits on images. The role involves brainstorming, pitching, and developing original content ideas, applying editorial feedback, and communicating actively with the editorial team. This is a paid, fully remote freelance position with a flexible schedule. Contributors must adhere to Valnet’s Editorial Standards, which prohibit the use of artificial intelligence. A writing evaluation may be required during the application process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English Literature, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with a credible digital publication.
- Passion for the content and a drive to grow within the industry.
- Sharp eye for grammatical details.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turnaround times.
- Comfort working in an entirely virtual environment.
- Adherence to Valnet’s Editorial Standards, including the prohibition on using artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
