About The Position
Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is seeking a Tutor to join the Student Support Services department. This temporary, fixed-term position will report to the Tutor Coordinator. The Tutor will meet with project participants on their respective campuses weekly to assist with developmental and college-level coursework and test preparation. The role also involves serving as a role model, demonstrating characteristics and strategies crucial to college success. Effort is made to fill these positions with current or former SSS participants.
Requirements
- Must have earned a grade of “A” or “B” in the tutored course.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged and disabled students.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
