About The Position

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a Tutor for Student Support Services at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). This is a temporary, fixed-term position. The Tutor will report to the Tutor Coordinator and meet with project participants weekly on their respective campuses to assist with developmental and college-level coursework and test preparation. The role also involves serving as a role model, demonstrating characteristics and strategies crucial to college success. Effort is made to fill these positions with current or former SSS participants.

Requirements

• Must have earned a grade of “A” or “B” in the tutored course.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged and disabled students.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
