About The Position
The University of Arkansas System is seeking a Tutor for Student Support Services at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. This role involves meeting with project participants weekly to assist with developmental and college-level coursework and test preparation. The Tutor will also serve as a role model, demonstrating characteristics and strategies crucial to college success. Efforts are made to fill these positions with current or former SSS participants.
Requirements
- Must have earned a grade of “A” or “B” in the tutored course.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged and disabled students.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
