About The Position

StudyPoint, a national leader in one-on-one tutoring, is seeking tutors to provide in-home academic support and homework help for elementary and middle school students in subjects including math, language arts, science, and social studies. The ideal candidate will be engaging, energetic, responsive, communicative, organized, adaptable, and able to create a positive and safe learning environment. Tutors will work with students in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong academic background.
• Reliable car access to travel to students’ homes.
• Availability for 6 or more hours per week, primarily during Monday-Friday: 3pm-9pm and Saturday/Sunday: 9am-9pm.
• Ability to cover towns in the Dallas-Fort Worth area including Dallas, Fort Worth, Richardson, Garland, Arlington, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Denton, Keller, Southlake.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for classroom teachers/paraprofessionals.
• Confidence teaching the reading, writing, and math skills covered in the elementary and middle grades.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home academic support and homework help for elementary and middle school students.
• Instruct students in math, language arts, science, social studies, and other subjects.
