About The Position

StudyPoint, a national leader in one-on-one tutoring, is seeking tutors to provide in-home academic support and homework help for elementary and middle school students in subjects including math, language arts, science, and social studies. Tutors are expected to be engaging, responsive, organized, adaptable, and create a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Confidence teaching the reading, writing, and math skills covered in the elementary and middle grades
• Reliable car access to travel to students’ homes
• Availability for 6 or more hours per week, primarily during Monday-Friday 3pm-9pm and Saturday/Sunday 9am-9pm.
• Willingness to travel to towns including Houston, Cypress, Fresno, Friendswood, Humble, Katy, Kingwood, League City, Missouri City, Pasadena, Pearland, Richmond, Spring, Sugar Land, The Woodlands.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home academic support and homework help for elementary and middle school students.
• Instruct students in math, language arts, science, social studies, and other subjects.
