About The Position
Tutor - Special Education assigned to the Multi-Age Learning Center / TLC at Furnace Brook Middle School. This is a vacancy due to a one-year leave of absence. The position is 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary is according to the Tutor Salary Schedule. The tutor is directly responsible to the Special Education Department Head, Building Principal, and Assistant Superintendent Student Services.
Requirements
- Strong desire to work with students with special needs.
- Ability and experience working with students who have social/emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Ability to work effectively with teachers and students.
- High personal integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in education preferred.
- MA DESE license preferred.
