Assists students, either individually or in small groups, in the review of course material, solving problems and preparing for tests. This role involves coordinating and/or conducting workshops and study groups, serving as a communication link and faculty liaison, and guiding students in selecting and using materials to meet their learning needs. The position also requires maintaining instructional materials, collecting and analyzing data, and participating in required tutor training. Additionally, the Tutor I may provide supervision in the absence of a Learning Center Supervisor and assist with recruiting, screening, hiring, orienting, mentoring, and retaining new peer or volunteer tutors.
