About The Position

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) is hiring a Turret Rewinder/Machine Operator. Experience is not required, though it is a plus. The role works third shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:45 PM to 6:00 AM, with an initial eight days of first-shift training that may be extended depending on the new teammate’s abilities. Training is Monday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM. The position includes a base hourly rate determined partly by applicable prior work experience and an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential once the employee begins third shift.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to calculate label counts and conversions, including using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Prior applicable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Continuously check print and seam quality.
• Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together according to specifications.
• Use a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing, and at other times as needed.
• Handle and palletize rolls without causing damage.
• Understand basic printing and seam-related defects.
• Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operations system, Globetek.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
