Turret "Punch Press" Operator-Part Time (2nd Shift)
About The Position
NIC Global Manufacturing Solutions is hiring part-time Turret Punch Press Operators. The role sets up and operates an Amada turret punch press to produce metal components for customers including PACCAR (Kenworth and Peterbilt), Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, and Energy Systems Americas. Experience with this type of work is welcome but not required; training is offered to candidates who want to learn. The advertised starting pay is at least $22.25 per hour. The posting lists convenient evening hours and possible overtime when needed and available. It gives two different schedules: 4:30 p.m.–8:40 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and Monday through Thursday, 4:40 p.m.–3:10 a.m.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Offers of employment are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Good math skills and understanding of measurements and fractions.
- Blueprint-reading skills.
- Experience doing this type of work; experience is not required, and training is offered.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate an Amada turret punch press.
- Load and unload tools.
- Load and secure blanks.
- Operate the machine control.
- Maintain the machine.
- Run parts according to customer drawings.
- Deburr parts during production.
- Perform secondary operations on punched parts.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by business needs.
