About The Position

As a first shift Monday-Thursday 5:00am-2:00pm, Friday 5:00am-9:00am, Turret Operator, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating turret punch press machines to fabricate metal components with precision and efficiency. Your primary objective will be to set up, program, and run turret machines to produce parts that meet exact specifications and quality standards. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring the smooth operation of the machinery to maximize productivity while minimizing waste. This role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, your work will contribute directly to the production of high-quality metal products that support the company’s manufacturing goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating turret punch press or similar metal fabrication machinery.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical tools and machine operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in machine operation or metal fabrication.
  • Experience with CNC turret punch press programming and operation.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills for machine programming and data entry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate turret punch press machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
  • Load raw materials and position them accurately on the machine bed for processing.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or deviations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, documenting any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
