The Turret Punch Press Operator position, located in Fontana, CA, reports to the Fabrication Manager. This role is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC punch press machines, primarily an Amada EMK-3610 NT Manual, to fabricate metal parts for manufacturing projects.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience operating a CNC punch press machine
Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including blueprints and drawings.
Strong attention to detail skills
Basic computer and math skills

Nice To Haves

At least three years of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred

Responsibilities

Operates a punch press machine to manufacture parts from sheet metal or metal plates.
Prepares, sets up, and adjusts punch press machine as required by product plans and production schedules.
Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available to fulfill work orders
Measures and align materials to be used
Inspects products and evaluates finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
Performs routine maintenance on the punch press machine
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
