This position involves responding promptly to guest requests and those from other departments. The attendant will fill and transport supply carts to assigned areas, enter guest rooms following proper procedures, and replace guest amenities and supplies. Responsibilities include replacing dirty linens and terry with clean items, making beds, folding terry, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash, dirty linen, and room service items. The attendant will also check that all appliances are present and working, straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances, and dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings. Vacuuming carpets and performing floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways are also part of the role. Additionally, the attendant must follow all company and safety/security policies, report any issues, complete safety training, and properly store flammable materials. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, and welcoming guests according to company standards are essential. The role requires supporting the team to reach common goals and ensuring adherence to quality expectations. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart, reaching overhead and below the knees, and performing tasks involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The attendant must be able to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors are also expected.
