About The Position

The Turnaround Planner prepares turnaround job plans and required resources to ensure that turnaround work is sufficiently prepared for a safe, effective, and efficient execution. This role is responsible for creating detailed work packages for Maintenance, inspection, and repair activities to be performed during the turnaround. The planner will perform walkthroughs, collect and review documentation, and meet with asset engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders for task clarity. They will prepare job plans with accurate Bill of Materials, following Covestro specifications and standards, and are responsible for planning assigned AWRs (Additional Work Requests), including the ability to plan discovery work that may emerge during turnaround execution. Ensuring jobs are planned in a timely manner to support the TA preparation schedule is crucial, as is obtaining all relevant documentation associated with the turnaround scope and assisting the TA Planning Lead in preparation for scope review sessions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 11 years working experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; OR Associate's degree with at least 6 years working experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 6 years' experience in Maintenance job planning
  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe
  • Ability to climb stairs and work at heights more than 100 feet; ability to climb vertical ladders.
  • Must possess sufficient physical strength to perform requirements in a safe manner without endangering self or fellow workers.
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for prolonged durations daily.
